Cultivate mindfulness, enhance flexibility, and foster a healthy body and mind as you kickstart your journey with Janine at Anahata. Are you ready to take the first step on your yoga journey? Whether you're brand new to yoga or looking to deepen your understanding of the practice, our Beginners Course is here to guide you every step of the way.

This 3 week workshop series is suitable for beginners to advanced and will cover a blend of postures, different breathwork techniques, and meditation, ending with a rejuvenating yoga nidra relaxation. At Anahata, we believe that yoga is for everybody and every body. Our 3 week Beginners Course is designed to introduce you to the foundations of yoga in a supportive and welcoming environment, where you can learn at your own pace and feel empowered in your practice.

What to expect from our Beginners Course:

  1. Foundational Asanas (Poses): Learn the basic yoga poses with proper alignment and modifications to suit your unique body.
  2. Breath Awareness: Explore the connection between breath and movement through guided breathing exercises, cultivating mindfulness and inner peace.
  3. Yoga Philosophy: Dive into the rich tradition of yoga philosophy and learn how its principles can enrich your daily life both on and off the mat.
  4. Meditation and Relaxation Techniques: Discover simple yet powerful meditation and relaxation techniques to calm the mind and reduce stress.
  5. Community Support: Connect with fellow beginners in a supportive community atmosphere, where questions are encouraged and progress is celebrated.

Each session will cover various postures ready to prepare you for more advanced postures. This is suitable for all bodies and postures can be adjusted to help with any injuries.

Our Beginners Course is taught by Janine who is an experienced instructor and is passionate about sharing the transformative benefits of yoga with beginners like you. Whether you're seeking improved flexibility, strength, stress relief, or simply a sense of inner peace, our course will provide you with the tools and knowledge you need to begin your yoga journey with confidence.

Investment: $60 for the 3 week course or $25 per session.

We also have a functional and breathwork workshop before sessions 1 and 2 at 2-4pm ($40), if you would like to do all 5 sessions you can purchase the package for $90.

June 8th: Breathwork workshop 2-4 pm, Beginners Yoga class 1 4:15pm-5:15pm

June 15th: Functional movement workshop 2-4pm, Beginners Yoga class 2 4:15pm-5:15pm

June 22nd: Beginners Yoga class 3 4:15pm-5:15pm.
