Class Highlights: Gentle Asanas: The class starts with gentle and slow-paced yoga postures (asanas) that are held for an extended duration, usually 3-5 minutes, to target deep connective tissues and promote relaxation. You will feel all tension go, and feel the content quiet space within shine again. Supported Poses: Props like bolsters, blankets, and blocks are used to provide support and comfort, allowing you to completely let go and sink into each posture with out strain or pain. Breath Awareness: Throughout the practice, you'll be encouraged to focus on your breath, which aids in calming the mind and enhancing your body's ability to release tension. Mindfulness Meditation: Incorporating elements of mindfulness and meditation, this class guides you in staying present and in the moment, letting go of stress and worries that build up in our lives. Stress Reduction: The long-held poses and supportive props help to release deep-seated tension and reduce stress, promoting a sense of inner calm, ease and tranquility. Increased Flexibility: As you hold poses for an extended period, your muscles and fascia gently relax and stretch, improving flexibility and joint mobility, making you feel mobile and reinvigorated! Energy Balancing: By targeting the body's meridians and energy pathways (in yoga we calls thesee Ida, Pingala, and Sushumna nadis). Yin Restorative Yoga aims to bring your body into balance, harmonizing your energy flow. Deep Relaxation: The class concludes with a guided relaxation or Yoga Nidra session to leave you feeling profoundly relaxed, rejuvenated, and ready to face the world with a refreshed body and mind.
